Many people find some of the hardest moments aren't in the hospital, but in the everyday: finding the words to communicate what you need, learning to set boundaries with well-meaning family, friends, or colleagues, and carrying an emotional weight that often goes unspoken and unseen.

About Dr Clare Jacobson

Dr Clare Jacobson is a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist with more than 20 years of NHS experience. In 2012 she set up the award-winning NHS Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Psychology service at a London teaching hospital and she still runs this today.  Dr Jacobson is a leader of national research and founder and chair of national and international psychology networks.  She is widely published in prestigious academic journals, professional manuals, and media interviews for mental health campaigns. Dr Jacobson works closely with cancer charities and provides academic teaching, professional training and consultancy. She is a public speaker and has presented widely internationally.
