Fuel Your Future: Healthy Eating for Life After Cancer is back this September! It's our free four-week programme helping young people in their late teens and 20s rebuild healthy, sustainable eating habits after finishing cancer treatment.

We started this programme after listening to young people we support, who told us they wanted practical, no-nonsense guidance on food after treatment — plus the chance to connect with others who just get it.

Each week is led by Hazel, our Oncology Dietitian, who brings both nutrition know-how and a genuinely warm, approachable style to the sessions.

"I'm passionate about supporting people through every stage of their cancer journey," says Hazel, who's spent over 10 years working in the NHS, including 8 years focused on cancer care. "My goal is to help people make changes that actually stick, and to support both physical and mental wellbeing along the way."

What's involved

Over four sessions, you'll pick up practical tools for eating well after treatment — from working through eating challenges that cancer and treatment can cause, to setting goals that are realistic and actually fit your life.

Sessions run on Wednesdays at 6pm via Zoom: 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 30th September. After this, the programme runs every other month, with future rounds in November, January, March, and beyond.

We wanted to create a space where young people can meet others who've been through similar experiences — somewhere safe, supportive, and welcoming, alongside all the practical guidance.

What people say

The programme's rated 4.5 out of 5 by past participants. Here's what a couple of them had to say:

"The guidance from Hazel has created a different mindset for me. I'm able to see the importance of balance and being kind to myself during my healthy eating journey after cancer. Hazel was so lovely and made me feel comfortable to open up."
"Hazel is lovely and really personable. Thank you for your help!"
