Ingrid Takes on Five Ultra-Marathons for Louie Davis and The Ella Dawson Foundation

Ingrid is running five 50K ultra-marathons in eight months to raise funds for The Ella Dawson Foundation, in tribute to her friend's son Louie, who was diagnosed with brain cancer at 24.
Ingrid has known Louie since he was eight; he's now twenty-four and living with a brain cancer diagnosis. Treatment left him fatigued and in pain, making it hard to socialise — until Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust's Teenage and Young Adult sessions connected him with Ingrid's support network.
"The challenges Louie and young people like him face are unimaginable to me, and it makes my challenge pale into insignificance," Ingrid says. "But running is my thing, and I want to put it to good use."
The Challenge
Between March and November 2026, Ingrid is completing five 50K ultras, roughly every eight weeks — each with its own test of endurance, terrain, and weather:
- Sunday 29th March 2026
- Saturday 23rd May 2026
- Sunday 26th July 2026
- Saturday 19th September 2026
- Saturday 14th November 2026
She's completed three so far, placing an impressive 3rd this past Sunday, with two runs left to go.
"Dig deep and give as much as you can — every penny counts. The Ella Dawson Foundation is close to Louie's heart, and he is close to mine."
