A Haircut that Makes a Difference: Ben Raises £3,324 for Young Adults with Cancer

Thank you Ben and all at the Ox Inn for your continued support and for putting the FUN in Fundraising
What began as a simple idea — let the community decide Ben's next hairstyle — has turned into one of the most exciting fundraising stories of the year. Ben, alongside The Ox Inn Pub in Stanley, launched a raffle with a wonderfully unusual prize: the winning ticket holder would get to choose exactly how Ben's hair would be cut and styled.
The response from the local community was nothing short of extraordinary. Raffle tickets sold with enthusiasm, when the final totals were counted, Ben and The Ox Inn Pub had raised an incredible £3,324 for The Ella Dawson Foundation — a phenomenal amount raised to directly support young adults facing a cancer diagnosis.
Ben's willingness to hand over creative control of his own appearance — combined with the warmth and generosity of the Stanley community and the support of The Ox Inn Pub — is a testament to what can be achieved when people come together for something that truly matters.
The Ella Dawson Foundation extends its deepest gratitude to Ben, to everyone at The Ox Inn Pub, and to every single person who purchased a raffle ticket or spread the word. Your kindness is making a real and lasting difference in the lives of young people navigating one of the hardest journeys imaginable.
A huge thank-you to everyone who contributed. We are so grateful. 💛
