Ella Dawson Foundation secures funding from the Garfield Weston Foundation
We are thrilled to announce that the Ella Dawson Foundation has been awarded a £15,000 grant from the Garfield Weston Foundation!
This generous support will allow us to continue to strengthen and grow our organisation, ensuring that every young adult diagnosed with cancer along with their families and carers has the tools, guidance, and support they need to live well and feel empowered through and beyond cancer.
The recently published 10-Year Cancer Plan recognises, for the first time, the unique needs of young people and highlights the vital importance of psychosocial support. Thanks to Garfield Weston Foundation’s incredible generosity, we can continue to expand our specialist support including mental, psychosocial, physical, nutritional, and wellbeing support – to ensure we are there for every young adult and their families who needs us.
Garfield Weston’s generous support will help to empower young adults to navigate the unique challenges of cancer at this crucial stage of life and help them to return to education, and careers and rebuild their lives.
