What is the Round the Island Race?
This iconic event attracts over 1,200 boats and 10,000 sailors from around the world, including amateurs, seasoned sailors, and Olympians. The challenge? A 50-nautical-mile course circumnavigating the Isle of Wight, starting and finishing in Cowes, the beating heart of British sailing. The atmosphere is electric – think festival vibes, buzzing marinas, cheering crowds, and celebrations all weekend long.
